Welcome to 2011

Welcome back to everyone, especially our new members. It is exciting to have such great numbers! We just need a few more men to balance the 30 ladies we now have.

We had a successful end to the year with three great performances of the Christmas Cantata. All three venues were packed with very receptive and appreciative audiences.

This is a very brief plan for 2011 with some details and dates to be confirmed:
  • Rehearsals in both Paeroa and Waihi Monday nights 7.15 till 9.00pm - a year planner will be given out next rehearsal with proposed dates of practices and concerts.
  • Work towards a combined concert with the Tauranga Bible Society on April 10th
  • Jazz Programme for the first half of the year with well-known Jazz standards and favourites from the years with the aim to perform just prior to the Paeroa Jazz Festival in August with a performance in both Paeroa and Waihi
  • Two workshops on vocal pedagogy/health/voice production and a Barbershop workshop during the year
  • Work towards a Christmas Cantata in December with performances in Hamilton, Thames, Waihi and Paeroa : work tba
We will looking at funding for new music and sound equipment for our performances.

A reminder that there are some great websites out there with valuable tools for singing. Check out these: Click on the logos to take you to the sites sites.

A great site with a lot of useful information and diagrams
